C
hâteau Monfort began life in 1903 as an
elegant private palace in Milan, designed by Paolo
Mezzanotte in the flowing Liberty style. Its
careful restoration transformed the historic
structure into a hotel that respects its
architectural origins while embracing a poetic,
Neo Romantic identity. The interiors are richly
theatrical yet refined: pastel tones, floral motifs,
mosaics and whimsical details inspired by fairy
tales, opera and ballet create a sense of
narrative throughout the building. Light plays a
central role, particularly beneath the crystal
domed lounge, which draws daylight deep into
the heart of the hotel. Each room is individually
designed, favouring intimacy, craftsmanship and
character over uniform luxury.
The Amore & Psiche Spa continues this immersive
atmosphere. A Turkish bath, sauna and
chromotherapy pool use warmth, colour and
gentle illumination to encourage deep relaxation.
